In the Blood

On that cool, soggy drive to school Monday morning, Puck was thinking. As usual.

“Mom? Do I have any Irish in my blood?”

“Lots.”

“Really?”

“Yup. You’ve got all kinds of stuff in your blood though.”

“Oh… I didn’t know I had Irish in my blood. I told Snicky that I didn’t have any.”

“Well, you do. Lots of Irish kings, actually.”

“But, Mom, if I’m Irish, how come I don’t talk like I’m Irish?”
