It Goes that Way Sometimes

(7:19am) Last day of May. Carrie-Bri had returned safely the evening before, in a good mood, hair pulled back in a rolled-up red bandanna, some Hollywood shades, and her usual tough-gal trappings, rushing off to her concert (the Dave Matthews band, where the younger Marshalls were also attending) with Elizabeth. She dropped her bags, and quickly hunted out the squishies before heading out.

And OLeif picked up Collette shortly later in Curly’s little black car (which OLeif had to use until the four-inch crack in the radiator in the green car was fixed). They spent the next several hours over barbecue pork steaks, hot bread and butter, and several episodes of FarScape for Collette and Izzy while OLeif and Curly attempted a practice session for the Gospel hymns they would play for Judah’s wedding reception.

Meanwhile, Joe had been out all afternoon and evening with his buddies (being Aristotle, Wallace, and Curly), playing tennis and waiting around with Aristotle for his sound system to be wired into his car.

Wednesday was a challenging day altogether, with a junior high youth session that carried past 10:30 for Jimmy, OLeif, and Collette, including film segments from a Mars Hill pastor, and a cooler of cream sodas and several batches of chocolate chip cookies for snacks from the Honeys. And Carrie was at another concert that night – The Eagles of Death Metal at the Creepy Crawl.
