January 16
The morning began with a fine silver mist and The Essential Yo Yo Ma and Silk Road — always a good way to start a day.
And OLeif left for the second day of his mandatory work-paid motivational seminar by 9:00 after madly grinding up a cup of coffee for the twelve plus hours ahead of him.
So while OLeif was busy learning about ‘his true self’, Collette and Puck left for the Silverspoon’s.
Linnea’s second basketball game was at 12:30 in the cramped elementary school gym off Jungs Station, again.
Linnea was by far the shortest on the team. But for what she lacked in height, she made up with muscle and speed.
And another loss, but the season was young.
It was also the first time that Collette had seen Flash. He ran around with Jules, who could have practically been his twin, they were so close in height. They hurried over during the half-time to give Leia hugs, before scooting back to Mrs. English.
Back at the Silverspoon’s, Theodore was working on the framework in the basement.
Gloria was sorting through boxes of the kids’ old possessions.
And Izzy returned from airsofting with Francis, Creole, the Buckle brothers, and some of the other boys, and then left shortly later for a swing dance.
The mist that night was still gorgeous: thick and deep and blue.
