January 19
The fog was still thick that morning. Like soup.
It was Joe’s first day back to class: nine to seven.
Rose had a last semester of archaeology to complete in the hopes of applying to grad school.
And Carrie was out for a walk with Grewe, and another visit to Whole Foods for their amazing challah bread and other groceries for the week.
In the afternoon, Mom, Collette, and Puck dropped off Linnea for choir and picked up Francis. Further errands…
Target for a tropical sea ‘soothing-to-sleep’ box for the crib for the arrival of the next Snicketts baby in March…
Home Depot for Francis to get copper piping for his airsoft gun…
Aldi, where Mom also purchased, at Francis’ request, a box of nutty bars…
And back to choir to pick up Linnea, where Francis ran around outside with Puck for awhile in the cool mist.
Meanwhile, Carrie had hit the mail jackpot of the day: a box of mates (for business purposes), a DVD from the UK: Hamlet with David Tennant, a replacement blue-stone earring, a David Tennant calendar, and a letter from the geologist in South Africa.
