Rain had come, bringing away the mist with it.

Inside, Puck was busy washing his tray with frozen blueberries.
“It’s a crazy dalek, Mama!” he exclaimed. “It’s a crazy dalek!”

Collette spent her afternoon preparing important matters and reading, while Puck professed to nap, but instead sat quietly in his port-a-crib in the library, playing.
Then…
No mail.
Jogging.
Prepared lasagna for dinner.

For Puck’s snack, he was given raisins.
“Once… once… once I done wiff my raisings, then I going to get some more raisings!” he loudly declared.
Then he found himself distracted.
“Interesting…” he said to himself. “Interesting.”

That night was comedy night: mini powdered sugar donuts, chewy Chips Ahoy!, frosted sugar cookies, Double Stuf Oreos, and Welch’s grape juice. And Joe had bought a box of new crayons.
There was the usual interestingness…
Whap! Rose swung her feet, which were stuffed into the arm of Joe’s coat, into his face.
“Rose!”
“I’m practicing being a mermaid.”

She flapped the coat arm up and down.
“So that’s what you do? You lure boys close and then slap ’em to death with your fin?”
“Yup!”
