Another day at home.

OLeif seemed to be feeling near the same as he departed for work shortly after seven o’clock.

Puck was busy munching on one of his usual mid-morning snacks of peanuts, raisins, and apple juice while the workmen were busy getting the window replaced, as promised. They remembered to bring a shop-vac, as well, to tidy up the splintered glass.

Around the lunch hour, Collette found an article written about KFUO, in Russian. It had also been briefly mentioned in the LA Times. Apparently other people in the world still cared about St. Louis’ loss.

The afternoon was reserved for a succession of chores, which included the usual stack of books, preparing egg salad for Wednesday’s supper, and an Icelandic Christmas Cake for movie night. Except that there was no cardamom spice. So Collette substituted with cinnamon.

As the afternoon wore on, and a napless Puck began to test his outer limits…

Just who do you think you are?” Collette asked him.

Octavian Theodore Silverspoon,” Puck responded happily, in all seriousness.

In the evening, word came in from OLeif that the car was overheating.
