July 28th
It was time, once again, to visit the dentist.
And this time, for no pains.
Merely a regular appointment.
And it was successful.
For the morning, Puck learned how to take a ride on ‘Bullseye’, a hand-me-down rocking horse, gifted to him from Bud Cross, via Mom.
By the time he had gotten the hang of it that evening, he was a very happy cowboy.
The afternoon rolled in perfectly still.
Cloud cover of gray.
Hot.
And silent.
This was followed by a great crack of thunder in the west.
When Puck was up from his nap, (which was on that particular day, a ‘non-nap’), he looked carefully through OLeif’s and Collette’s wedding albums.
Then he read his book on storms, many times over, with Collette pointing out the words. His favorite picture was that of a firetruck driving through a flooded street.
He looked over the photographs of the lightening.
“Boom! Boom! Boom! It says boom!” he said to himself.
And the rain poured in for the afternoon, evening, and into the night, as Rose arrived for more shewermas, honey dew melon, and tutoring.
And OLeif once again joined the mission trip kids for music.
