July 6th

While Collette ran errands with Mom, Francis, and Linnea that morning, Kitts arrived at the house to give Puck a cowboy hat that she and Carrie-Bri had put together. They had punched little metal brads in the foam material to read out his name on the back. And Puck was very happy.
Then they made snicker doodles, and Puck helped roll the balls of dough in the cinnamon and sugar.

Out running around, Collette and the kids waited in the car while Mom ran into T.J. Max.
Francis started reading the ads on the windows of the store.
“Summer Flirty Sandals… Summer flirty sandals?! What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Yeah,” Linnea giggled, “I’m going to flirt with you with my sandals.”
“That is really disgusting to me,” said Francis, usually flabbergasted by such things.

That evening, Rose came over for math tutoring, dinner, a mile walk and talk around the neighborhood with Collette, and then helped OLeif sweep up the basement and watch Good Eats for an hour or so before leaving for the movie theater at Frontenac.
