Collette had missed the squishy all day Friday. And when he finally woke up at 8:00 the next morning, he was just as chubby-smiling, apple-cheeked as ever.
For most of the day, their little family spent the warm hours over at the Silverspoon house. Theodore and Denae were gone for a few hours to Soggy Sing’s wedding. Curly left for work. And Izzy was on another Boy Scout hike.
So Puck chased balls in the driveway and Denae put together tortilla wraps for lunch.
Collette took a walk in the mid-afternoon, got a shoulder sunburn, and listened to OLeif’s latest musical introduction: Eric Hutchinson.
Then after an unsuccessful trip to the mall with Carrie and Linnea, to search for a Father’s Day gift, Collette returned to a snacking chubby.
Warm. And still no A/C in the car. It would have to be fixed.
Dad would be leaving for Iowa the next afternoon on business through Thursday. Mom would also be joining him.
