June 2nd

Tuesday, the roses came. Climbing dark orange roses that would grow very quickly up the iron pillars of the front porch. Collette soaked the roots in the tub while Puck watched carefully and munched on banana chips and dried cranberries.
Then Collette cleaned out the cube table between the sitting chairs in the living room and made it Puck’s very own personal toy case, complete with a library of no less than 40 books.
Meanwhile, Collette had completed Izzy’s book, and was beginning another, trying to allow her arm a rest in between typing chapters, while limiting writing to her left hand only. The only solution until Dragonspeak could be found again.
OLeif and Rose dropped in for hoagies around the noon hour, before OLeif left to purchase a scooter helmet in The Valley.
The week was hot, unlike the very chilly day, the week before, down in Forest Park. Warm and dry. Then around one-twenty in the afternoon, a warm shower strolled in, bringing thunder with it. This later turned into a driving storm.
After it had passed, Puck woke up to sunshine and chased two marbles around the house after he had helped cut up the apples — more like eat them — for the lentil stew, vacuum the rug, refill the pink grapefruit soap in the bath, and read several books and word card decks to himself. He was then joined by OLeif as they ran around the house together, and wrestled.
After Collette’s walk around the neighborhood, the storms came again, piling high and violet-blue in the west.
