June 30th

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

Puck was busy asking Collette to read him one of his favorite books, Goodnight Moon, at least ten times over. He also kept an eye out for the garbage truck.

He waved to OLeif as he left for work on his ruckus.
“I miss him. Daddy,” he said. “I miss him.”

Then he sat on the floor and made his donkey dance to the tunes from his light-up musical turtle.

“Donkey dancin’,” he said happily.

While Mom was at Bible study that morning, Carrie-Bri, Francis, and Linnea spent a couple of hours with Collette and Puck.
Linnea almost immediately went to the fridge for a glass of crushed ice, of which Puck begged a share. And for his matchbox cars.
“Nahm, nahm, nahm, nahm, nahm!” he said, as he dipped his little car into the ice.

The days had been cooler lately.
The winds had been up a little more.
And it was feeling like a proper June.
