Labor Day

Monday was a slow day.

Dad studied.
OLeif studied.
Francis studied.
Linnea was still in South Carolina.
Carrie-Bri was out all day with Lucia.
Joe was out all day with the Souths at the Zoo.
Rose bought an American Indian-print Billabong sweater.

And that was that.

Until Puck tried to swallow a metal spring…
It was still a mystery: one, as to where he had found it in the first place, and two: how he managed to sneak it into his mouth while in the same room as everyone else.
He quickly recovered, however, and stomped around the house wearing Joe’s shoes and eating cupcakes which Carrie had brought back from The Cupcakery.
Then everyone sat around the living room and watched The Benny Goodman Story for the rest of the evening.
