Lectures

Saturday, April 25, 2009

The conference had gathered over 150 people from near and far, from places as far as (at least) Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin, according to the plates in the parking lot.
Four lectures between Friday night and Saturday, and a live recording session for The White Horse Inn radio broadcast with a panel also including an English professor from the seminary. There was also a book store, and croissants, bagels, danishes, tea, and coffee for those were hungry throughout the morning.
Then back out into the wind. Collette accompanied Mom and Carrie to purchase flowers for Eve’s shower while Rose joined OLeif at the enormous annual spring book sale in the parking garage of the Westfield shopping mall.
It was a QT night. OLeif picked up a box of round turkey slices, square yellow cheese slices, and wheat crackers for the little chubby, who very happily ate them while riding along in his car seat toward home, a bubble bath, and his newly beloved “Little Bear”.
