Life Goes On
Puck began his day with a broom in one hand. He loved to sweep the house. He could entertain himself for long periods of time with this novelty. At the house, he continued his quest with a golfing club.
Joe was already finishing his first week of class back to school. Then he would join Wally, helping him to purchase his first car, a new red Civic. Carrie was in a whirlwind of preparation for various things: GRE, job ideas, PhD research, etc. Rose was thinking about attending King Lear in the city the following evening. OLeif was researching Covenant seminary degrees.
Dad was returning from Iowa late that night. Everyone was busy.
When Carrie returned from her early morning errand, she baked a giant chocolate chip cookie for Dad and Ghirardelli dark chocolate brownies. Puck helped with this process, proudly, no doubt.
Later in the afternoon, he played concertos on the piano next to his Tante Carrie.
The Olympics continued to be successful, despite the Jamaicans’ domination of track by Usain Bolt and Chinese supremacy in diving. Things were still going well. Over 100 medals as of late Friday night in Beijing.
