Linnea's Return
Sunday, Collette and Puck joined the girls at Memorial to see Rose become an official member of the church. On the ride over, Puck helped himself to a snack of soy beans from Carrie’s portable Tupperware, and looked out the window for helicopters.
Rose looked very nice in her new blouse and mustard sweater vest and dark brown skirt, when she walked up to the front of the church and joined the small crowd being introduced as members of the church.
Back home while Puck napped under OLeif’s care, the three girls headed back to wrap up a little shopping for the Caribbean before dropping into the grocery store for Mom.
At the house, Dad had left for Iowa for the week, directly after church.
And Linnea was just back from her week in South Carolina, looking as brown as a nut with more freckles and a new shirt sporting the British flag.
She had brought back a small collection of shells and sand dollars, and a pirate flag/drinking straw for Puck, which he liked very much.
Two of their party had also been stung by jellyfish, although Linnea had managed to avoid such a nuisance. But she did enjoy seeing the alligators and a grand total of 32 dolphins.
Meanwhile, Creole and Puff ‘o Lump were over with Francis, biking on the Katy Trail and fooling around with a leaf blower in the garage until dinner was served: Super Smokers pulled pork sandwiches, cold pasta salad, and a pile of cream horns.
Then OLeif carted off the three boys to youth group.
