A day back at home.
Sun and cool breezes.
Earlier in the morning, Puck had been entertaining himself with conversations betwixt himself and his toys.
“Where’s donkey?”
“He’s not here, ’cause he’s in donkey heaven.”
“Oh! Mama find him?”
“No. ‘Cause Mama’s gotta find him.”
“You put me away?”
“Yes, ’cause you gotta nap dere.”
. . .
“Oh, beautiful!”
“Oh, Kiir!”
“Oh, Puck! You put da whole cow away!”
“Yes! I was doing da whole fing and it was very heavy.”
“Oh, I gotta help you.”
. . .
“Uh oh… here comes da mouse, Kiir.”
“Here comes da mouse.”
“He’s scary.”
“Here comes da mouse.”
And so on…
Later in the morning, Collette and Puck spent an hour outside, kicking his bright orange ball around the yard. And Puck spent even more of that time stomping through mud puddles in the street.
The afternoon was passed with more of these outdoor activities in the warming weather. And for reading Calvin & Hobbes.
Meanwhile, over at the house, Mom and Dad would be leaving that evening for the Fox to see Celtic Women.
