Collette was up at about three o’clock in the morning with pain in her right leg. Likely a combination of the previous afternoon’s jog paired with the rain that occasionally made her knee act up after her injury, horseback riding in Iceland…
Over at the house, Linnea-Irish had donned a new purchase that morning: bright lemon yellow jeans, a new favorite. She had also found a bright pink pair.
All the day was math with Linnea, aside from the four plus lengthy phone calls with Cherry. And a ride-along for Collette with Francis to Target, as he needed to purchase a bicycle pump.
And Puck was wrapped up in a blanket from time to time by Linnea and Carrie, who called him her ‘little burrito’.
Bits of rain here and there until the sun popped through later in the day. And a viewing of the British comedy, Learners, with David Tennant, which could only be acquired in the ‘Great Britain format’, so Carrie-Bri hooked up her all-regions DVD player to the television. An entertaining hour or so of awkwardness and driving school.
As the afternoon was wrapped up to a close:
-
Dad departed for church with the Clearplay machine and Glory, to set up movie night.
-
Mom left with Linnea-Irish for her American Heritage Girls banquet, with Linnea in uniform, and bag in hand to spend the night with Mandarin afterwards, while Mom would join the others at movie night.
-
Carrie was joined by Lucia, after which they picked up Grewe to dine over Mongolian barbecue after Carrie-Bri had requested that Collette cut out one of her dreadlocks.
-
Joe, after completing his final final of his 20-credit semester… dropped off Francis at the nuclear mound with his Scout troop for two nights out biking on the Katy Trail, after which he returned to drive with Rose to the movie night.
-
OLeif headed out for a meeting.
-
And while Puck went down for the night, Collette listened to a MacArthur sermon regarding infant baptism.
