The rain was back.
On the way to the house, Puck was still intent on visiting the Milky Way, so OLeif sling-shot them around the round-abouts, upon pretense of orbiting Jupiter and Neptune.
“We’re gonna catch on to a star stream!” OLeif announced, as they flew down the entrance ramp.
“We’re mo-most there!” Puck announced happily. “You’re a Daddy and Mama Bear! And I’m dah Puck bear!”
Over at the house, Collette read a new poem she was working on, to Francis, which included one line referring to the devil.
“I guess I’ll have to change that line if I want to use it, though,” she said. “The devil isn’t a popular item these days.”
“Hey,” said Francis. “If they don’t believe in God, then they can’t have a problem with the devil. You can either believe in both, or none.”
Collette let this logic sit for awhile as they turned to algebra and Portuguese.
Meanwhile…
-
OLeif was enjoying a half-day field trip to the City Museum, which Collette thought was pretty funny.
-
Collette and Francis dropped off the dark blue Honda courtesy car in exchange for the repaired Fit.
-
Mom and the kids headed off to a 1:00-4:00 choir party.
-
And Carrie-Bri, Mom, and Lucia were joining Grewe at her farewell barbecue before she left for Nebraska.
In the late afternoon, the girls returned from the choir party with Eleda, and spent about an hour working on make-up and earrings (which Eleda and Linnea-Irish were switching out for the first time). Francis got into his Scout uniform. And Collette dolled out a pile of old treasures to the girls from her storage boxes in the basement, untouched in the past six years.
That night, chocolate fudge brownie waffle ice cream bowls for comedy night with OLeif and Rose. Rose, who had just come from work and shopping for a pair of dove gray pants for work and a dark indigo poncho.
