Another voice recital. 25 pieces. Chocolate peanut butter bars and lemonade at the reception. And it was Curly’s last performance as a high school student.
Mrs. English, Collette, and Carrie talked for a little while afterward and watched the activity of the younger crowd giggle and prod one another in a group in the center of the room. Watching them mingle made Collette feel old. She remembered OLeif’s last voice recital. Mercy had also graduated that year and sang a song about green things.
