In the morning, the family arrived.

Mom brought over a jar of cherry preserves that she and Linnea-Irish had made at the Rum’s house the previous afternoon.

Carrie reported her visit to the tennis courts and Eve’s new house the previous evening. Five years old, already-painted walls in browns, caramels, and mints, and up to six useable bedrooms. Eve seemed very happy with their location.

They left by 11:30, as Carrie had a good deal of studies to finish before staying the night at the Plum’s to keep an eye on Hansel and Gretyl, feed them pizza for dinner, and walk them to the bus stop the next morning.

Another warm afternoon. Although storms had been all but promised for most of the week. Not yet a drop of rain. Only flickering lightening.

Puck playing in the duck sprinkler, laundry, jogging, curry…

OLeif was out for the night with buddies.
