Lucia and Relevance were back in town for two weeks.

Over to the house…

That morning, while Collette visited the post office, Puck found the need to run around the front lawn in his birthday suit yelling out grandly, ‘We’re goin’ to dah Milky Way!’

The afternoon arrived: deep green shade and shadows on the lawn, palms and roses, old trees wrapped in ivy, and warm sun while Puck played on the patio with Linnea’s old collection of houses and little pocket worlds.

Near four o’clock, Collette and Puck drove Francis and Creole to Puff ‘o Lump’s as they observed the stacking of early cumulonimbus in the east. Downtown where Rose worked, she said that it was pouring, and the thunder was loud.

That night, in the oncoming winds and gold sunlight of impending storm, OLeif was at church to practice music before returning to make a gooey butter cake with blueberry cream cheese topping.

Oddly, one of the highlights of the day was watching the 1997 Mr. Rogers Emmy acceptance speech for his Lifetime Achievement Award on Youtube. Surely one of the best men who had ever lived.
