Puck was happier that morning, though by the evening he was once again feverishly bothered by his incoming teeth.
Everyone was missing eyeware. OLeif’s glasses had been lost for over a week. Mom couldn’t find her Oakleys from Joe. Word from Texas was that Rose had misplaced a contact while swimming, and had to borrow some of Wally’s.
Collette and Puck sat on the front porch to watch Carrie mow the front lawn with the anti-self-propelled push mower, before the rain came in. After the green crop had been trimmed, Carrie came back inside to count the blisters on her hands (despite the use of gloves). Eleven.
In the evening, OLeif went out to get a new modem after the old one had been fried by lightening on Sunday night.
