The morning began with Bolero on the radio — still surviving — blueberries, apples, and cherry preserves on toast for Puck during which he requested his mama to speak in a sort of odd Irish accent which made him giggle.

Meanwhile, OLeif was off work for the day. A four-day weekend. And so, he spent the first hour of his morning adding another hinge to the shed door. Puck accompanied him by tying an old belt to OLeif’s jeans and harnessing himself to it.

I’m your dog, Daddy,” he said.

Then, walking out the door, he turned around and pulled a classic Calvin.

Hold all my calls,” he said.

At 10:15, OLeif departed to pick up Relevance, Kitts, and Carrie-Bri for lunch at the Greek festival.

And in the afternoon, everyone was together at the Silverspoon’s for a short while before splitting ways for the evening which included invitations to BBQ for Relevance and Kitts, attending the play Oklahoma for Izzy, and everlastingly-continued web design for OLeif.

But for dinner at home, there was conversation between the three of them.

What are you thinking about, Puck?” OLeif asked.

I’m thinking ’bout chocolate,” Puck replied, a little dazed in thought.

Then later…

I like your hazel eyes,” Collette told him.

Who gave dem to me?” he asked.

God.”

God colored dem for me,” he replied seriously.

Collette was tired that night and hit the hay at nine.
