It's another running morning... Puck asks if we'll join him on Jag work... so we load up and hit Autozone for a battery and Home Depot for a polyethylene bucket (and chips for the kids) and then the Big House where "Grandma" is busy mowing the lawn...
While Puck attempts to replace the former battery and we quickly realize that Autozone's battery database apparently doesn't actually know what type of battery a 1985 Jaguar XJS requires...
...Patience joins Carrie-Bri with the babies on a walk to see the “ribbits” (aka frogs) down the street...
Despite Puck's disappointment with the battery... he discusses how one only learns through failure as we drive back into St. Louis County and how every time he's ready to give up on repairs... he'll sit in the driver's seat for awhile and imagine how cool it will be driving it... and his determination is restored... “So...” he turns to me with a grin... “could we all get McDonald's to celebrate this failure?”... this request is backed fully by the pleas of his younger siblings...
So while Oxbear and B are enjoying “Hamilton” from Broadway in the second row...
...the kids chow on cheeseburgers and nuggets with tangy BBQ sauce as Yali and I continue more “Indiana Jones”...
...and Patience makes two pans of actual cupcakes with strawberry frosting piped around the tops with those candy sprinkles...
Then back to the studio for Miss Patience in a slowly warming season... taking awhile to kick-start...
Several hours later Oxbear is waiting for the load of us at the airport... happy travels... and only one blister from walking the streets in boots...
Back home for Oxbear to read to the kids in their bunks...
...while Puck and I hit the store for his massive pretzels craving... goofy kid leaves with about six different kinds...
