Carrie had a placement interview on Friday morning. So at Dad’s recommendation, she hit the store Thursday morning to look for a new outfit. Carrie hated shopping for more than three minutes at a time. So when her limit was doubled by five, she had enough, and call it quits. She would try again later that evening.
Mom tried to help smooth things over with a run by White Castle for lunch: burgers and chicken rings.
That evening, OLeif came home from work to mow the lawn and reattach the headlights to the car.
It had been a difficult week.
