When OLeif came home for his lunch break, he put on his black ball cap with curled black pipe-cleaner ant antennae sticking out of the top (from playing in the kids’ church choir musical that Sunday) and sat down on the couch to read his magic book. Sometimes Collette thought he was still ten.
He had made another loaf of bread in the bread maker, so there were hot ham sandwiches for lunch.
Outside in the front, the helicopter tree was losing its helicopters in the wind.
And Puck spent a good part of his afternoon plunging kitchen utensils in and out of the small orange ceramic pitcher, which he had found in one of the cabinets.
