Missions Conference

Puck was decked out in his red Krispy Kreme truck sweatshirt that morning, and ready to head outside for a tumble in the great outdoors. Lila went with him.
The ornery critter was back to his former matutinal habits, and had been up again at 5:26 in the morning, cuddling sleeplessly with his mom and dad until ten till seven. Collette could tell there was trouble coming when most of his responses were prefaced with:
“Not today, sir! No dank you!”
At breakfast, he hurried up into his high chair to see the ‘sunset’.
“That’s pink,” he said. “And the sun’s here. Actually, dat’s red and pink.”
It was a fine day out. Temperatures predicted up to 68.
By the time Puck woke from his nap, it was just about time to shovel him over to the Silverspoon’s where he was intended to spend the night. OLeif was attending a party for the premiere of RedMapp, as he had created its website. Carrie-Bri and Rose were also attending. And Collette was to join Dad, Mom, Francis, and Linnea at the missions conference.
But first, Mom and Collette visited the Knights of Columbus fish fry on the way to church where they enjoyed fish sandwiches and macaroni and cheese while in the car overlooking the baseball field. A little peace and quiet.
The missions conference hosted about forty, forty-five people, with speakers representing the Chinese church in the city, and upcoming trips to Haiti, Mexico, Congo, and Northern India.
