The first day where all three of them would be home during the work week.

It started with a jog.

The sun was out again, clear blue skies, snow still piled in most places, and more on the way…

During sitting practice that morning, Puck cuddled next to Collette.

I’m your best babies, Mama,” he whispered.

Yes, you are, Puck,” she told him.

Then he held up Donkey for a kiss.

I’m your best babes,” he said. “And Donkey is your best babes too.”

Puck and OLeif enjoyed some time outside for awhile before Puck devoured lunch and went straight down for a long winter’s nap.

Once awakened, he buried himself down in a bed of blankets until properly awake, and then hunted down Collette’s electronic dictionary.

I’m busy wiff school, Mama,” he said seriously, holding it up to show her. “I’m doing wiff my test now.”

Meanwhile, OLeif was at two meetings, one for a contract with his former work. And the other for a lawyer who made wallets out of stingray, alligator, and ostrich legs.

Rose arrived near four o’clock with ingredients for a chocolate pie after completing two interviews for the day with RGA and Boeing.

That evening, after comedy night, also involving a box of Entenmann’s donuts:

Hey, Collette? Want a powdered sugar donut?” Joe asked, holding it over her black evening attire. “Jingle bells! Jingle bells!”

Then Joe drove Collette back to the house at 8:30 where Dad was busy trying out Joe’s new waveboard. After a pretty tremendous crash, he gave it another go, with Joe giving out pointers.

Then Carrie-Bri and Collette drove to Lafayette Square: Bailey’s Chocolate Bar for another shower for Diana which lasted from ten o’clock to about one in the morning.

And OLeif accompanied Magnus for the evening on his twenty-first birthday.
