Nacchianti's Party

Saturday, June 5, 2010

It was over to the Silverspoon’s as usual that morning. Kitts was there as well.

Puck pulled the cushions off the chairs in the living room to practice his somersaults. And OLeif showed them a short film of the private Walker Library from an inventor in Connecticut. Absolutely fantastic. And there were lemon squares.

The day was warm.

In the afternoon, Puck joined his Nana and Kitts to shop and visit the library.

And come shortly after four o’clock, OLeif and Collette dropped in at the Coca-Cola’s for Nacchianti’s graduation party open house where there was fried chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, and watermelon. Not to mention Coca-Cola. They met Tennessee’s girlfriend there, who also worked at Pizza Hut, Katie-Rose, who was the cousin of Charlie. Interesting ole world.

OLeif and Collette sat with Tennessee and Katie-Rose and talked about Francis’ and Creole’s shenanigans and hilarious stories. How many times the police had been called on them for shooting off rubber ducks from potato guns or driving their go-carts, etc., etc., and that they were good kids, etc.

And Tennessee had been hired at Edward Jones and would now be wearing a tie on a daily basis. The long hair had also been cut.

It was hard to believe Nacchianti was on to college now. It seemed like only such a short time ago he had been that little guy running around with the other junior highers. And now he spoke of hopes to eventually transfer to Wash-U. It was so good to see high ambitions in a young man. And Collette wished him well.

And the great Stan-o was back. It had been a long time. Somehow he remembered names. Even OLeif’s brothers’ names. He asked about Collette’s current reading materials. And he then suggested the autobiography of Ben Franklin on the way out.

The McCraes were there. Stephanie Buttercup. And Judah, Evangeline, and Baby Hesed also made a brief appearance.

It was a nice hour or so.

Then back to the Silverspoon’s to catch up with Puck and where they watched a little more of the new season of Doctor Who.
