Collette and Puck were dropped off just before seven at the Silverspoon’s that morning. For bacon, library books, and a departure to Christ Presbyterian at 9:00 for a 9:30 Bible study following the book, Shepherding a Child’s Heart.
It was an enjoyable hour and a half. Puck had fun playing with the other children. And Collette was surprised that 11:00 had arrived so soon.
Later in the afternoon, Gloria brought Collette and Puck over to the house of their friends from South Africa. Gloria was looking after their house while they were away. The front lawn had been grown with tiered beds of flowers. And in the back were apple and peach trees. Inside, there were prints from Egypt and China and other places on the wall.
Then, as the day was exceptionally warm, they drove to the mall and let Puck play in the rows of play-machines: helicopter, space ship, train engine, bi-wing plane, etc.
They then met OLeif back at the Silverspoon’s for a quick dinner where Izzy had news that he had been hired to bus tables at the 54th Street Grill & Bar.
And on the way back, Theodore had called to check in while standing out in California looking over the Pacific.
In other news, Joe was still loving life in New Mexico and had intended to bike up ‘The Tooth of Time’ that same day.
