Nothing Terribly Exciting

Saturday, April 2, 2005

For the day ahead there was a little work to be done. Nothing terribly exciting, particularly because the sun was shining brightly and whenever the sun shone so steadily, nothing good could come from it, unless if she were in the right setting. In Mayberry, it would have been fine, on a farm way out in the rolling hills and woods and valleys of southern Missouri, at the beach on a late Friday afternoon, perhaps. But certainly not on an early Saturday morning in the northern suburbs of St. Louis. Oh, woe the day, Collette thought to herself, each time the sun shone so piercingly.
