It was time for the home visit for the adoption. Their consultant arrived at 9:30 in the morning. And after she had been introduced to Puck, Puck went off to spend the day with his grandma and aunts and uncles, while OLeif and Collette continued with the second portion of their interview.

Two and a half hours later, Collette drove over to the house and helped Carrie-Bri put together the new shed in the backyard under chilled gray skies while Puck snoozed.
They were later joined by Puck, once he had been woken, dressed from head to toe in Carrie’s white coat. And he happily amused himself playing in the rocks and talking about the abandoned birds’ nest high up in the tree.

Then it was home in the cold.
