Veteran’s Day.
Manhã…
Linnea arrived with a bowl of Captain Crunch again, seeking milk.
Puck was ready for them, fully dressed, and with green flip-flops and OLeif’s Ruckus helmet. So Rose took him on a walk with his new yellow and black bike after she put on his chucks instead.
“You can’t ride a bike in flip-flops,” she announced.
And while the kids did their math, Rose constructed a penguin, turtle, and other small objects out of modeling clay with Puck, ready for the oven.
Meanwhile, Puck’s head was still rather yellow from his battle with the couch on Saturday evening.
À tarde…
Luke arrived nearing one o’clock. Leia had another cold.
After they had sufficiently worn themselves out, Luke left for the day, saying, “I don’t want to leave…”
After Puck had waved them off, he came inside, and asked a question…
“Could a worm fly if he had wings?”
Then he and Collette shared a small tropical pomegranate-lemon sorbet… to test them for Friday night.
Then to half-packing for Saturday’s departure.
À noite…
More Mr. Rogers for Puck while Collette made their own version of the Monte Cristos, which OLeif especially liked.
And comedy night.
In other news, down in Shreveport the Blots family was to have a third grandchild. Emerald was due with her second baby the following June.
