November 13

Another Friday the 13th.

Over at the house, Linnea was wondering if she had fractured her toe.
“Oooo hoo hoo. My toe.” said Puck in imitation. “My toe broke. Your toe break, Lila? I will fix it. I will fix it. I will fix it for you.”
He handed her a small flashlight.
“Fix it for me?” he asked.

Everyone was busy:
Dad was returning from Iowa with Cherry Pie, who was to spend the weekend with Linnea.
Mom was at a few appointments and then to lunch with Mrs. English and several other ladies.
Carrie-Bri was at the Boat House with Malaya, returned, and then to a Peter Bjorn and John concert at Wash-U with Lucia.
Joe was out biking for college credit, later to rendezvous, supposedly, for pizza with Rose and Magnus.
Francis was cleaning out the entire garage to transfer the items to the shed.
And Linnea was making preparations for Cherry’s arrival.

Things were rather busy.

That afternoon, while Carrie and Francis loaded up the shed, Puck amused himself running down the temporary ramp for the wheelbarrow and doing face-plants in the leaves.
