It was Mom’s birthday.

And round number two of Thanksgiving.

But first, as Mom’s birthday was to be officially celebrated on Saturday instead… it was up the Christmas tree, which took a grand matter of ten minutes. The little pre-lit tree from their first Christmas, now only half-lit, and Puck helped Collette hang the ornaments. He also dug out his old singing snowman at the piano, which he commenced to play all… day… long.

Meanwhile…

OLeif, who had been sitting at the breakfast table, or, as Puck liked to call it, ‘breafdest’…

“Ok, that does it. This fly is getting it. You just flew past the wrong eyeball!”

Over at the Silverspoon’s, Theodore and Gloria were leaving to take Rhett, Scarlett, Gabriel, and Michael to the Science Center.

And the three oldest Silverspoon kids were playing music together for about three hours or so, including OLeif and Curly showing Kitts how to improv.

Late afternoon, the clan returned from downtown in time for Theodore to take all the older fellows shooting. And Puck was rejoined by his cousins. Both he and Michael enjoyed running crazily around the house after each, screaming in delight with Kitts, chasing after them as the ‘monster’, who would ‘fall asleep’ when they played ‘sleepy music’ on Puck’s singing snowman, a game continued from the previous day with Izzy.

Then the three boys staked out together on the couch with bowls of turkey, cheddar, and crackers while they showed Kitts Fantastic Mr. Fox.
