November 7

Saturday, November 7, 2009

The first three hours of the morning were spent cleaning and organizing boxes of things. Mostly computer cords and books. And Mom brought Francis over to mow the lawn for the last time of the year.

Then OLeif and Puck drove over to the Silverspoon’s for a guys’ day while Collette remained at home to continue with the projects. This meant that after a plate of nachos for lunch, it was down to ‘spruce up’ the basement, as Mom would say.
And Gloria was visiting grad schools with Kitts in Chicago.

Temperatures were in the 70’s that weekend. The sun was still out. And Carrie was happy.

Some Hamish MacBeth in the afternoon, followed by laundry and an egg in the nest as the violet of twilight came in.

The boys returned after seven — a washed, happy, well-fed baby was ready for his Saturday night sleep.
And OLeif worked on putting in a deadbolt on the front door, which ended up being an amazingly loud project.
