Another day at home.
Cool, wet, grey.
By the mid-morning, the rain was falling again. And it was cozy and warm and golden inside the house.

In the afternoon, Collette and Puck read books together. Puck would tell Collette about the pictures. One of them was a picture of a caterpillar, which he immediately recognized as a ‘patter-pillar’. When Puck saw a picture of something he did not recognize, he held out a finger and said, ‘That’s a that.’

The rain continued to pour. Lightening flashed. Thunder occasionally cracked. If it had just been the thunder and the lightening, it would have been a very ‘Halloweeny’ preface to the weekend.

Soon, Rose and OLeif returned from work and seminary, respectively. And once the Puckster was down to sleep for the night, the rain pounded in.

“Tomorrow’s going to be great,” said Rose. “We’re all dressing up at work. And I’m gonna be an alien.”

They pulled out the party pizzas just in time for Joe to arrive. Followed later by Magnus.
