Of Pirates, Indians, Fairies, & Castaways

With Mom’s and Dad’s anniversary came hard news of a Tae Kwon Do instructor with cancer. He was very young and it was a sad thing to hear of. They hoped, however, that as he was young and healthy, he would recover well and soon.
On the brighter side of the day – after Dad returned from his interview for his next contract, he and Mom whisked off to the Garden Inn for a nice relaxing evening together, and no doubt a lovely dinner and walk in the park.
Meanwhile, after Carrie toasted some waffles for the gang earlier in the morning, Collette spent the next hours till three-thirty, tutoring. And then Francis was off to spend the night with Izzy, while Joe took him and drove by Cummins Tools to check out a potential hammock for Scout camp. He also returned with a nylon spatula and ladle for his camping gear from Deals, one of his favorite stores.
Rose munched on dry pasta – (she usually ate such raw combinations of oatmeal, pasta, and other dried things). And the kitties prowled and twittered at the birds in the back yard.
There was also a double feature for the evening, (when Joe returned with sodas, bagel bites, pizza rolls, tortellini, and cheese cake) of “Finding Neverland” and the all-time favorite – “In Search of the Castaways”. It was an evening full of good laughs.
