One Last Time

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

OLeif was feeling back to normal by Monday morning. And so Collette and Puck were home together listening to “Bare Necessities” and “Gladiator” while Puck asked his mom to draw him green and red moons with his crayons. And he busied himself with his cars and vacuums.
“Scwoo-dwiber! Scwoo-dwiber!” he called happily late in the morning.
He had relocated his prized sonic screwdriver after it had gone missing for two weeks. This made him very happy.
After his long afternoon, Puck rescued his stuffed bunny from his crib and danced with him, teaching the bunny a move lent him by his Aunt Carrie.
“Do you dip?” he asked, laughing, as he dipped the bunny backward.
And… it was Bluebell’s South very final afternoon to teach choir. It had all come to a last day, fourteen years later. It would be followed by the final choir concert with herself conducting from the stage. One last time…
