Rainstorms & Gyros

The wind was huge. Like March. And temperatures were closer to April. This made for a well-loved combination in our little Snicketts family. Puck and Yali were enthralled, running through the muddy yard together, arms outstretched, before we left for school. Torrential rain and a little thunder were also added to the mix around one o’clock in the afternoon.

Much later, at around six o’clock that evening, I met Mom, Carrie-Bri, and Rose at St. Louis Gyros for dinner. There was also baklava for Carrie. Topics of conversation included presidential farewell speeches, Sophia Loren, and beard fails.

“What? We’re done already?” Mom asked, as we got up to leave at 6:57.

An hour is about all a Snicketts girl can take of socializing. It’s somewhere in the blood.
