In which the week continues…

Puck had a dream…
“Donkey went to visit my baby brudder in South America.”
He then began to busy himself with a pair of sticks confiscated from a dying chair, before breakfast.
“Look, Mama,” he said in his important voice. “They’re crosses. Like how Jesus died. And they look just like Grandma’s house. And Aunt Petunia’s. And Nana’s. They’re all crosses. So… do you agree?”
“That’s an interesting theory…”
“Yup. You understand theory ’cause of me.”
Irish fiddle.
Lingering pipe smoke.
Puck was prepped for the day in Nike sweatshirt and pants, 1920’s-style fur hat, with a box over that, and SpongeBob slippers.
Cold cuts for breakfast.
Donkey was to have a field trip with OLeif to work on Wednesday. Motorcycle ride included.
“Donkey’s just jumping for joy!” Puck declared.

Onto reading lessons, Spanish, etc. Puck always had some trinket that had to be removed prior to commencement. This time it was what appeared to be a miniature Civil War leather mail wallet tucked inside a Grey Poupon mustard jar. Who knew…

In the afternoon, Puck was interested in purchasing honeycomb from the grocery store.
He then marched to the reading chair with the sun-yellow cushions in his room for another hour of books.

Later…
“Puck, go get the mail, please.”
“Mama. My bare feet will burn into French fries.”
As Puck prepared to watch his allotted episode of The Magic School Bus, he requested the viewing in his mama’s room near the open window…
“It’s such a beautiful day. I want to see the sun. It smokes and pops.”
Collette packed to spend the next three nights at the empty Silverspoon house to care after the wantonly critters, while Gloria was still in Texas, and Theodore gone on business.
And the mold count stood at an unbelievable: 140,249.

As the evening approached…
OLeif and Puck worked on fixing the turn signal on the bike.
Puck was tucked down into bed…
“Mama, I need some help!”
“What up, bud?”
“Donkey’s standing on his head. Dat’s duh problem.”
Cycling through another 59 sheets of text for further possible marriage records for William and Martha…
