Roar!
It was cleaning day. As soon as Puck saw the duster, he took off with it, scrubbing down everything from tables to carpets.
He sat in his high chair for a snack at ten o’clock that morning. He bit off several bites of his tiny pretzel, then, holding the creation in front of him, he cried happily:
“Plane! Plane!”
Collette was surprised to find that the pretzel did look exactly like a plane.
Later in the morning, after Puck had helped with the vacuuming, he drew his very first circle with a red crayon, and on a piece of paper (not the walls). After he had scribbled on the half-sheet of paper, he had a grand time running back and forth around the house making it fly like a kite, and tossing it into the air.
“Fly! Fly!” he called.
After work, Rose came over in preparation for comedy night. She had brought a National Geographic special on lions for Puck. He sat in his little rocking chair in front of the television, absolutely mesmerized. His rosy little mouth dropped open in awe at the giant beasts tearing across the Serengeti.
“Roar!” he cried “Roar!”
Then Carrie and Joe also joined them for tea and cakes, very literally. Cheesecake, chocolate swirl pound cake, and fruit tea.
