Run Around

Seven years had passed. They were working on their way up to a decade since that eerie Tuesday morning of 2001 when all the world seemed to stop.
Collette and Puck spent the later part of their morning on the road, running errands around town. Puck happily bounced along in his car seat, waiting to see where his transportation device brought him next.
The day was gray. After Collette purchased a pair of shoes for Amanda’s wedding, the elderly lady clerk smiled at Puck and said, “Go find yourself some sun.”
And while the sun was never found, except for a sliver on Target’s parking lot, Collette and Puck had a good afternoon indoors watching the pre-rain skies of a September day.
For dinner, Collette remade an old OLeif creation: avocado, strawberries, and cheese wraps in chili tortillas.
Before dinner, Puck took a long sink bath with the discarded giant avocado seeds, both of which he tried to eat.
