In which work progresses in a similar fashion…
The day was mostly regarding genealogies, paperwork, bank, post office, library, the park, and groceries. Collette allowed Puck to select a bakery item. He chose the two-dollar box of twelve soft chocolate fudge cookies, one of which he later attempted feeding to the ant crawling the marigold walls of the kitchen. This bled quickly into the steadily graying afternoon with open windows full of fresh autumn winds, the two-hour process of baking a from-scratch lasagna, walking and Irish fiddle and calculating/praying at the same time — Puck had long become used to this oddness — dinner over another Little House on the Prairie, Season 6, calls to Great Uncle Harry, and the aroma of pine and cedar…
Some days passed more quickly than others…
