September 24

Puck was busy with his ‘computer’ (green cash register) that morning on the red couch. He cleared his books off the cushions to make room for Collette to join him on her laptop.
“Sit here, Mama. Sit here,” he said very seriously. “I gotta work.”

It was another day for rain and chores. So while Collette swept up the floors, Puck pulled his ‘clean’ (aka duster) out of the linen closet and helped her.

That afternoon, Gloria dropped in to bring over an old bookshelf and to pick up Puck for the night.
Puck waited with great anticipation, leaning over the back of the wing chairs at the front window. Every time he heard the sound of tires on pavement, his ears perked up.
“Nana?” he asked. “Nana comin’?”
As they left, Gloria rolled down the window, and Puck waved big at Collette, with a huge grin, and his sunnies on.
“Bya, Mama! Bye!” he called out to her.

A few hours later, Rose arrived to finish painting the basement steps blue, while Collette put a pan of pumpkin bread in the oven for comedy night.
Joe joined them later after OLeif brought coffee, and for Collette: Scottish Chiefs and an Oreo brownie.
