Simple Times

Another quiet Tuesday on the Western front. Collette and Puck spent their morning listening to the Classical station while Collette swept the floors, made pumpkin muffins, sliced cucumbers and tomatoes, and Puck amused himself with the usual things – the Swiffer duster, his empty diaper box, colored blocks, and watching the neighbors fix their trucks outside from the living room window.
OLeif returned for lunch in the midst of a busy morning,
and showed Collette a clip of a magician explaining tricks of the assumed, before leaving again.
That afternoon, Puck ran around the slope of the front yard, smashing sticks together. He wore his hooded jacket over a knit cap and smiled chubby dimples at his mom, oh so happy to be free in the out of doors.
He watched a neighbor boy bike up and down the street and ate vegetable/flax seed chips from a wooden bowl on the porch.
So another quiet day passed into the history books.
