Skyfall

Kids piling on top of us in the six o'clock hour... isn't it supposed to be Saturday?... but Patience still has to get to class...

While I scoot her that way...

Oxbear and Yali begin piecing together Yali's 3D-printed body armor costume before Oxbear leaves to pick up Puck and J for skydiving in Illinois...

It's early afternoon by the time I have both younglings back with me...

Patience has raided the neighbor's driveway bake sale for snickerdoodles and chocolate chip cookies...

...while Yali is busy trying to “freak me out” with video of black mambas swallowing possums on his tablet – no thank you...

...and Puck and J are gearing up and reviewing falling/landing techniques on the Greenville airstrip... some two hours later they fly and they jump and they fall and they float... and they LOVE it... later after they stop for Hawaiian-themed burgers and everyone's back home Puck says... “That's what I was thinking about when I jumped and saw the curvature of the Earth – everywhere – and how stupid Flat-Earthers are...”

Oxbear is off in the evening to St. Peters to hang out with Gloria for early Mother's Day...

Tuck kids into bed with prayers and books as a shelf of apricot and rose cloud sets past the windows...

About ten minutes later Yali re-emerges... “Mom...” **sighs** “I think we have an ant problem...”
