Puck’s first snow. A beautiful white blanket of it. In celebration of the wintry wonderland, OLeif, Collette, and Puck met Denae at the park-n-ride to visit the Galleria. There were Christmas presents to consider.
Once they had arrived, the crowds were buzzing as usual. Denae was good at striking up conversations with random people. As they walked by the See’s candy man in his starched white shirt, she asked him:
“Oooooh, are you passing out samples?”
“I am. Which would you prefer?”
“Well, what are you offering?”
“This one here is a butterscotch chocolate.”
Collette took the second option. It was some sort of brown sugar cream-filled chocolate. She ate it in little bites on the way out to the car. As they headed toward the entrance, OLeif got a kick out of passing the AT&T “Bell Tones” choir performing between Auntie Anne’s Pretzels and Urban Outiftters. Then back into the wintry blast.
That evening, they were greeted with more of the sugary goodness, which was already turning the roads to ice.
