Snow World

Monday, January 26, 2009

Collette and Puck were home for the day to organize things inside a warm house watching the white world from behind the big window in the living room.
After they had reshelved about 200 books, washed the blankets, scrubbed up the kitchen, vacuumed, swept, mopped, read a half-dozen books together, Collette had turned cartwheels in the living room while Puck giggled at her and snacked on pretzels on the couch, and Puck colored pictures in Collette’s notebook, it was about time for evening.
At dinner, Puck was busy making his sausages into finger puppets.
That night, the snow continued to fall. Another St. Louis winter. Unpredictable. Cold. And still beautiful.
