In which there are things that happen…

Waking from dreams of enormous tropical islands of gardens high in green hills around a cemetery, visiting with the whole family, a Korean couple (the guy had reddish hair) who ignored them, giant strawberries growing in the woods, a native singing for money and speaking to an Australian business man… all very peculiar as usual.

The principal research of the morning: query letters and literary agents.

Two and a half hours of irritations between Luke and Puck, including a grand argument over who was going to keep the bright pink bicycle lock, Collette had found stuck in the dirt.
One of those days…
The mail arrived, bringing another photographed stellar smile of Puck’s from the ‘Cavity Free Club’.
As they walked out in the too-warm-October afternoon to take a turn around half the neighborhood, one of the ladies in the last houses came out to talk to Collette…
“Just thought I’d let you know… apparently there’s been someone living in the weeds back there,” she nodded towards the overgrown patch never developed. “Found a bunch of knives too.”
That was… comforting…
